HollowClan is a resilient group defined by dignity, integrity, honour, and friendship. It consists of those capable of banding together in order to weather even the most challenging of difficulties, thwarting all odds, and will continue to do so forever. HollowClan stands against pointless conflict, but will rally together immediately to execute any means disposable to them to defend their Clan if necessary. Overall, the Clan will not be overcome by the rumours or vague fears that chase at our heels, desperate for our acknowledgement. We will, as we always have, surpass all expectations, fulfill the insurmountable legacy we have left, and thwart the community that seems to crave our downfall - we have never been a group to follow the rules or play into the hands of our enemies.
HollowClan maintains a flexible roleplaying style, making use of both traditional and advanced to accomodate a range of proficient roleplayers. We do not accept anatomy, due to frequent inaccuracies of its nature. Advanced comes into play during conflict situations, while casual roleplay is welcomed on a normal daily basis.
HollowClan incorporates a diverse array of hunting techniques, adapted primarily to woodland dwelling quarry. Namely woodland mice, tree squirrels, European hares and voles are sought out by our hunting patrols. In the more temperamental territories, such as the Hidden Oasis, prey such as the water vole, quail and other types of avian species are tracked - our more adventurous felines even go as far as fishing for the common freshwater stream trout. During the colder months, when the majority of our quarry undergo migration or hibernation, our primary focus lies in hunting snow hares and woodland mice.
RESPECT is mandatory at all times. Nobody is exempt from this law, unless the Supreme Division deems its violation necessary for disciplinary purposes. This rule maintains peace and equality within the Clan. Direspectful actions follow a punishment, its severity equal to that of the transgression.
OBEDIENCE is mandatory. We expect you to obey the rules of the Clan, and the commands the higher ranks have delegated. Nobody is excused from this rule. Disobedience follows a major punishment, regardless of how bad the fault.
LOYALTY is a necessity. Your residence here is an honour that many do not have the privaledge of experiencing. Double-grouping is prohibited and easily discovered. Your loyalty must remain here as long this is your residence. We do not accept any visitors, nor those merely testing out groups. If you wish to join us, you keep your loyalty vows.
ACTIVITY is a vital requirement. It guarantees your place among us. Always remember to mention your possible inactivity to The Supreme Division and to The Regent Division, or you will be listed as an inactive member. If you are inactive for 2 weeks or more without the appropriate forewarning, you will automatically be banished.
CONFRONTATION is forbidden amongst comrades and between outsiders without reason. No one is allowed to endanger the Clan, nor its tranquility. In a conflict between other groups where the situation is nearing resolution, you are expected to remain silent unless you have been permitted to speak. You will be punished if you are too outspoken during meetings of urgence.
DRAMA is not tolerated, unless there is a roleplay set with dramatic elements. There is to be no petty arguments or fights between comrades, as it causes disharmony within the Clan. Should you become unecessarily dramatic, a minor punishment shall follow. If you disregard this punishment through continuation, you will be exiled.
YOUR CHARACTER is your property, and hence any alterations in name, pelt or personality traits are completely within your control. Only the death of your character - including time and manner of death - needs to be discussed and approved by the Paramount or the Haunt.
CHARACTER'S NAME is once again within your discretion: it can be a rogue/loner name, or that of a traditional Clan cat. Tribe names are not allowed. When joining, or when changing your OC, ensure you don't choose the same name as an existing resident of the Clan.
CREATING A NEW CHARACTER must be approved by the Paramount, or the Haunt. In HollowClan, you can change your OC once after an accidental or traumatic death (such as dying in a storm roleplay). The rest of your characters must die naturally.
HollowClan roleplays everyday up to four hours. Before joining, please look up your time zone and make sure it fits the Clan's schedule. The events are not strictly followed - they exist to assist people understand what's going on.
The whole schedule will be soon done. You can manage with the following information for a while now.

THE SUPREME DIVISION
As the first in command of the Clan, the Paramount must receive the greatest respect from the other members. Their word is the law, and they are not to be disobeyed. Doing so is against the hallowed rules of HollowClan, and transgressors will be punished.
The Haunt is the Paramount's right hand and the one who will assume command during the Paramount's absence. Equal respect towards the Supreme Division is important and required. The Haunt is allowed to perform the same actions as the Paramount.
The Necromancer is a greatly respected and hallowed member of the Clan who leads the Remedial Division. The Necromancer's duty is to heal the injured as well as guide and assist the Shamans and the Shaman Voids. They receive prophecies and messages from the Hollowed Ancestors firsthand.
Shamans are the healers of the Clan. They're to be treated with respect due their important role. They may travel to the Cave of Hallowed Ancestry once every moon to communicate with our ancestors and receive prophecies and other messages.
The Nebulas are the third in command, and the Haunt's right hand soldiers. The two Nebulas share the responsibility of command over Ghouls and Illusions at second place beneath the Supreme Division. Nebulas are selected by the Paramount, and due to this they are due the utmost respect.
The Specters are an elite group of former Battalion Division members selected by the Nebula. Specters work as the role models to the Battalion Division and prepare them the best they can alongside the Nebula.
Ghouls are the soldiers of the Clan and are the first line attackers. They have been trained in HollowClan as Battalion Abysses, so they automatically graduate to the position of a Ghoul. Ghouls are extremely necessary to the Clan due to their experience and their prevalent training in battle. They obey their commanders, the Nebulas, alongside Illusions.
Illusions are warriors of the Clan who guarantee its safety alongside Ghouls. Illusions are cats who have joined HollowClan without previous training here. Illusions assist Ghouls in their actions and decisions, working together under the command of the Nebulas.
These young trainees - known as Shaman Abysses - are next in line to be real Shamans. They are taught the art of healing and herbs and how to utilize these skills. They are also taught endless knowledge from their mentors and are trained to be peaceful and wise cats. They shall abide by all the rules just as the regular Abysses do.
The Battalion Abysses will become either Illusions or Ghouls, and they train hard to learn the ways of their roles under the close eye of their mentors. They must respect the higher ranks, and most especially their mentor who uses up their time to train them.
Members who either take temporarily several moons off duty to bear and raise their own offspring, or who wish to look out for Spawns. The caretaker can be a female or a male.
Wraiths are the future generation of the Clan. They are to be well cared for, and are raised to be Clan's next greatest members. When they reach the age of six moons, they will receive their Abyss name.
The Sombre Carmine is a beautious and lush forest. The colors of the leaves change seasonally, the most prominent hue being a deep red at the end of greenleaf. The color stains the whole forest on this marvelous day, deemed the 'Day of Salvation' to commemorate the founding day of the Hallowed Nation. The red pigment is reminiscent of the blood that was shed and wasted before the harmony that followed the discovery. Nowadays the biome is rich with prey, and blood is shed here only in times of territorial defense.
A multitude of daily patrols scour this territory to keep trespassers and other dangers at bay. This natural haven for a magnitude of varying prey species is vital to HollowClan as its most prominent food source, familiar to all its inhabitants. As a result, this land is guarded carefully with tooth and claw.
Canines, foxes and badgers are frequent visitors to this rich biome and all patrols should remain on high alert for such predators. It is particularly dangerous from noon into the night.
The Treacherous Hollow lies partially undiscovered, veiled in mystery much like its foggy swamp. The Hollow is unpredictable in terms of unknown creatures and occasionally unnavigable paths tangled by roots and fog, which is why it is unwise to travel them alone. While it is safer in leaf-bare when the ground is more visible, patrols visit daily to safeguard the prey available from potential trespassers.
Patrols monitor this land daily around its perimeter. The cats present must remain alert to avoid getting lost or entangled here. The humidity makes the environment quieter, hence the prey animals are naturally more aware of their surroundings. Patrols are carefully trained to practise silent and stealthy hunting.
Perhaps the most dangerous element is the obscurity of the terrain given the foggy atmosphere, thus sharp rocks and unseen burrows are a patrol's most prevalent danger. Tropical snakes, such as anacondas, are rumoured to reside near the swamp along with cave-dwelling foxes. Patrols are warned of these often unseen threats, and tales to frighten the young ones into staying safely at camp originate here.
A barren land notorious for sandstorms, venomous creatures and treacherous overhangs; cats are warned not to travel alone. Upon closer inspection it is a land rich with differing prey and herbs, and is perfect for pre-battle training or tests of endurance. The beautiful river hidden among the sandy boulders is perfect for strengthening one's body by swimming, and also provides relief from the land's blistering heat.
Patrols are performed daily, although less frequently than the woodland territories. Quarry tends to hide more, but our hunters never return empty-jawed. The prey emerges during the cooler times of day, such as at dawn and dusk.
Members of patrols need to be wary of venomous serpents and arachnids when searching for prey hiding beneath rocks and underneath bushes. Birds of prey are quite frequent visitors, so patrols are advised to stick close together. Steep cliffs and slippery banks are also a danger, and hence this territory needs to be treated with caution. Larger predators, such as mountain lions, are only said to visit this oasis during the coolness of night.
During leaf-bare, this is the most prominently used territory for hunting and patrolling, as all other lands become laden with snow too thick to navigate given the number of trees present. Prey is more elusive, though can be discerned by a keen eye. The frozen lake is used as a form of endurance training.
Patrols daily and incessant during leaf-bare. Trespassers are treated far harsher than during other seasons, as during leaf-bare our hunting grounds are diminished to two lands. Hunting patrols are larger and remain on duty longer in order to catch as much as possible to feed the Clan from a small pool of prey. Cats prone to temptation during months of poor food must be wary of succumbing to desire and eating prey while hunting, for this will follow severe punishment.
All cats must be wary of sheer, slippery cliffs and minor avalanches. The frozen lake, while thickly iced by mid winter, can be a fatal trap for even the most seasoned of fighters and hunters. Large mammals such as seals and polar bears are rumoured to have been spotted here, so proceed on high alert. The hot springs, while offering relief from the biting cold, can sometimes be of a temperature far too high for a cat's body to withstand - be wary of passing too much time here.
A deceptively beautiful wasteland surrounded by sheer cliffs and dangerous critters, this land is crossed only when the Cave of Hallowed Ancestry is the objective. Prey is sparse in this desert-like place, so hunting here is a very rare event.
Patrolled daily and incessantly during leaf-bare. The cliffs and multitude of hiding spots makes this region an almost perfect land for successful ambushing of enemies and prey alike.
The colossal cliffs need to be navigated with the most delicate of caution, lest you find yourself tumbling to your death into the barren valley below. Cats patrolling or heading to communicate with the ancestors must be wary of these dangerous mountain paths and venomous creatures lurking between the rocks. Snakes, scorpions and venomous spiders are prevalent here, and have claimed the lives of many a cat to pass by. Predatory birds find a haven amongst the sheer cliffs, and await the oblivious straggler that doesn't realise they're a target until they are snatched into the heavens to be devoured.
A sacred and holy location, often visited by the Necromancer, otherwise rarely by the rest of Clan. The Cave Of Predecessors is where cats and their Ancestors meet to regain peace and hope. Shamans will gather here for their Abysses' ceremonies, to receive prophecies, or during the Aurora Borealis.
Cats are forbidden to visit this holy shrine without the Shamans' or the Necromancer's company. There is no prey and these sacred waters are forbidden to consume, proving pointless to arrange an attempt to search for remedies.
The cave is damp and slippery, and should be navigated with extreme caution, even by the most adept of Shamans.
Territory Run: The whole Clan will gather on a Congo land to do the first patrol of the spring. Three cats will be chosen to run throughout the territory, and their goal is to return as fast as they can. Every land must be travelled through. We can give some extra points, if the cat manages to chase out possible intruders within the run. There will be a spectator alongside every participant to eliminate cheating. Every trespasser disregarded results in point deduction. Actions during the run will be confirmed afterwards by the spectator. The first one back is the champion, and shall be rewarded.
Fishing Competitions & Aquatic Sparring: The whole Clan will meet in the Hidden Oasis, more specifically at the waterfall. As the environment faces the melting snow arriving from the mountains, it creates a waterfall and a small pond in which to swim and hold activities. Fishing competitions and spars in the water will be held on a given day.
Elemental Run: Five cats will be chosen from a pool of volunteers. Every land contains a spectator who will closely observe the cat's actions and declare natural disasters related to the land's terrain and weather if they wish. There's also a spectator running alongside each participant to eliminate cheating. Every land must be visited and its tasks must be completed. The cats are required to show how they will manage through the natural disasters and the sudden dangers. The first one back at the start wins, and they will be rewarded.
Feast: The Clan will be hunting large reserves of prey for three days, before Thanksgiving. There will be a competition for who hunts the biggest bounty. On the day of Thanksgiving (the weekend following actual Thanksgiving), the whole Clan will gather in the camp to hang out and share stories or memories together. The whole day will be devoted to bonding, and no patrols will be done after the daily morning patrol.
Aurora Borealis: When the northern lights illuminate the sky at their brightest, the Shamans will receive a message from the Hollowed Ancestors informing them of this event. On this day, the whole Clan will move up to the mountains, to look at the northern lights - the wandering souls of the passed members of HollowClan, hunting alongside their passed leader(s). Full silence is expected in order to appropriately appreciate and cherish this moment.
Hunger Games: The Clan will be split into three or four teams in an empty world. The teams will need to move without using transportation and buddy lists (unless following Conqueror; who's the spectator and the sponsor) into their own hideout. The sponsor will be informing the teams when it's nighttime, and when it's daytime. The sponsor also supplies the teams with products and resources to use. Teams will be moving freely around one server, and if they happen to meet each other, they will commence a battle. Natural disasters are also in the sponsors' hands. The last one standing wins, and brings victory to their team.
Battalion Spars: A normal and frequent activity performed in the Clan. Spars will be formed to be equal for every cat. The idea behind the sparring is to keep all the battalion forces ready, cohesive, and strong. Battalion spars put both speed and technique into test - defending is as important as attacking in these closely supervised spars.
Shaman Spars: Spars done between the Remedial Division. It tests techniques and speed as well, similar to Battalion spars. In the Shaman spars, an injury will be presented to two cats that are in need of healing, and the one with correct technique and greater speed will win. These spars will be held only when three or more cats from the Remedial Division are online; two in the spar and one to be a judge.
Hide & Ambush: The fighting forces of the Clan will be split into two teams - one to hide and one to ambush. The hiding team will hide in silence (starting in Zios to ensure everyone fully comprehends the rules) in a land located in the same world as the ambushing team. After 5 minutes when the hiding team has hidden, the ambushing team will depart and search for them. If the ambushing team finds them, they will attack, and the opposing team will defend themselves. If the hiding team manages to hide over 10 - 15 minutes (varying on how big the area is), they can leave and attack the ambushing team. This activity tests catching hints of an enemy and reacting to attacks. The last one standing brings victory to their team.
Capture The Flag: The Clan will split up into two teams and they will choose one from their team as the flagholder. The flagholder will be placed into one hideout in the team's territory (the map is split equally for both respective teams). After this, the game will start. The goal is to find the opposite team's flagholder. If another team spots the opposite team's member on their territory, they must tag the person and they return to their territory. If the flagholder is found, the person must say 'catch', and the defender of the flag will engage in battle with the usurper. Whoever wins the spar (either saving the flag, or winning it) brings triumph to their team.
